Parucka is a free reading platform. We collect only what we need to run the loyalty rewards programme and send you emails you asked for. We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.

1. What we collect

Email address — if you join the Reading Rewards programme, request a discount code, or are invited by another reader, we collect your email. We use it to manage your loyalty account and send you rewards, gift codes, and related emails.

A functional cookie — when you join the loyalty programme, we set a cookie in your browser to keep you recognised across visits. It is used solely to show your points balance. It is not used for advertising or tracking.

Approximate country — when you join the programme, we record your approximate country. We use this to understand where our readers are and which languages to prioritise. We do not store your IP address.

Reading interest — we log which books you show interest in (e.g. clicking a purchase link). This helps us understand what readers care about. Anonymous activity is also recorded but cannot be linked back to you personally.

Sharing and invite activity — if you share a story or invite a friend through the loyalty programme, we record that activity solely to award the points we promised. We do not access your social media accounts.

Discount requests — if you request a discount code, we store your email and which book you requested. This is used only to process your request.

2. What we do not collect

We do not collect your name, address, phone number, or any payment information. We do not track you across other websites.

3. Third-party services

We use third-party services for site hosting, email delivery, and the optional translation widget. These services process data only to the extent needed to provide their function. If you use the translation widget, that service operates under its own privacy policy. External purchase links (e.g. Amazon) take you to platforms with their own privacy practices, which we do not control.

4. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your loyalty account is active. You can request deletion at any time and we will remove your personal information within 30 days.

5. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time. Email us at [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.

6. Children

Parucka is not directed at anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Changes

If we make significant changes to this policy, we will update this page and revise the date above.
